Job Summary
Delivery Driver responsibilities include delivering pizzas and other items to residential and commercial locations on assigned routes, inspecting the vehicle, reviewing deliveries with customers, and maintaining high standards of customer service in a fast-paced environment. The role requires clear communication with management and dispatch, handling currency and credit transactions, adhering to food safety procedures, assembling and labeling orders, assisting with prep, reading order slips, stocking and cleaning work areas, and performing other duties as assigned. Strong multitasking, map/GPS literacy, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential. Effective customer interactions to build loyalty and ensure order accuracy are emphasized, along with adherence to company policies and confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Be no less than eighteen (18) years of age
- Have two (2) years driving experience
- Possess a valid state driving license
- Have use of a properly maintained, licensed and street-legal vehicle capable of driving upwards of one hundred (100) miles per day
- Maintain minimal or higher insurance coverage as mandated by state law
- Ability to pass applicable Company Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and background checks
- Possess a cell phone to use for calling customers
- Be capable of reading a map, locating addresses and interpreting Global Positioning System (GPS) directions
- Navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as needed in interactions with management, and customers
- Take and process orders
- Multi-task effectively in a dynamic environment
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Make correct monetary change
