Job Summary
Operate delivery vehicles to transport food orders across designated areas, navigating multi-story buildings and adverse terrain while carrying product. Stock ingredients from delivery areas to storage and walk-in coolers, prepare products, and receive telephone orders. Process orders verbally and in person, make correct monetary change, and complete associated paperwork. Clean equipment and facility daily, and assist with inside tasks including food preparation and cleaning. Ensure all vehicles meet safety standards and pass periodic inspections. Work varying weather conditions and temperatures up to 90 degrees.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license
- Safe driving record meeting company standards
- Access to an insured vehicle which can be used for delivery
- Licensed in the US for at least the last 2 years minimum
- Ability to prove licensed driving history
- Insured driver on the insurance policy for the vehicle
- Vehicle must be registered
- Customer service skills
- Navigational skills to read a map
- Ability to locate addresses within designated delivery area
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly
- Ability to make correct monetary change
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen
- Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgments and decisions
- Standing position capability
- Walking for short distances for short durations
- Lifting bulk product deliveries using a hand truck
- Ability to lift cases weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stack cases onto shelves up to 72 inches high
- Ability to carry large cans weighing 3 pounds 7 ounces
- Ability to carry pizza sauce weighing 30 pounds
- Ability to carry trays of pizza dough weighing approximately 12 pounds per tray
- Ability to push and pull trays on dollies
- Ability to navigate stairs or climb a ladder
- Forward bending at the waist capability
- Ability to crouch/squat occasionally
- Ability to reach up, down, and forward continuously
- Eye-hand coordination
- Continuous use of hands
- Ability to grasp cans, the phone, the pizza cutter, and pizza boxes
- Ability to utilize pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter and pizza peel
- Availability to work holidays and weekends
