Job Summary
Operate delivery vehicles to transport products and marketing materials to customers within a designated area, navigating adverse weather and varied terrain including multi-story buildings. Stock ingredients from storage, walk-in coolers, and work areas; prepare product; receive and process telephone orders; and take inventory while completing associated paperwork. Clean equipment and facility daily. Perform physical tasks including lifting cases up to 60 pounds, carrying trays of dough, and pushing dollies. Maintain accurate math skills for monetary change and use computers or touch screens to enter orders. Requires a valid driver's license, safe driving record, and access to an insured vehicle. Orientation and training provided on the job.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver License
- Safe driving record meeting company standards
- Access to insured vehicle which can be used for delivery
- Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly
- Ability to make correct monetary change
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders
- Motor coordination between wrist and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen
- Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks
- Depth perception
- Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces
- Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgments and decisions
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product
- Ability to climb a ladder to change prices on signs, wash walls, perform maintenance
- Ability to navigate five or more flights of stairs
