Job Summary
Operate delivery vehicles to transport food from stores to customers, navigating designated areas and adverse terrain while carrying product. Receive and process telephone orders, stock ingredients from delivery areas to storage and walk-in coolers, and prepare products. Perform inside tasks including food preparation, cleaning equipment and facilities daily, and completing associated paperwork. Make bulk product deliveries twice weekly, unload using hand trucks, and lift cases weighing up to 50 pounds. Work in varying weather conditions and temperatures ranging from 36 to 90 degrees. Be available to work holidays and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards
- Access to an insured vehicle which can be used for delivery
- Licensed in the US for at least the last 2 years minimum
- Ability to prove licensed driving history
- Must be an insured driver on the insurance policy for the vehicle
- Vehicle must be registered
- Customer service skills
- Navigational skills to read a map
- Ability to locate addresses within designated delivery area
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly
- Ability to make correct monetary change
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product
- Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks
- Depth perception
- Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces
- Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgments and decisions

- Lifting bulk product deliveries using a hand truck
- Ability to lift cases of ingredients and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stack cases onto shelves up to 72" high
- Ability to carry large cans weighing 3 pounds, 7 ounces
- Ability to carry pizza sauce weighing 30 pounds
- Ability to carry trays of pizza dough weighing approximately 12 pounds per tray
- Ability to push and pull trays on dollies
- Ability to navigate stairs or climb a ladder
- Forward bending at the waist capability
- Ability to grasp cans, the phone, the pizza cutter and pizza peel, and pizza boxes
- Use of pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter and pizza peel
- Availability to work holidays and weekends
- Ability to meet safety standards for vehicle inspection
