Job Summary
Operate delivery vehicles to transport orders across designated areas, navigating multi-story buildings and adverse terrain while carrying product. Stock ingredients from delivery areas to storage and walk-in coolers, prepare product, and receive telephone orders. Process orders verbally and in person, manage inventory, and complete associated paperwork. Clean equipment and facility daily. Perform inside tasks periodically such as food preparation and cleaning.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards
- Access to an insured vehicle which can be used for delivery
- Licensed in the US for at least the last 2 years minimum
- Ability to prove licensed driving history
- Must be an insured driver on the insurance policy for the vehicle
- Vehicle must be registered
- Customer service skills
- Navigational skills to read a map
- Ability to locate addresses within designated delivery area
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly
- Ability to make correct monetary change
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product
- Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks
- Depth perception
- Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces
- Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgments and decisions
- Standing position capability
- Walking for short distances for short durations
- Ability to lift bulk product deliveries using a hand truck
- Ability to carry cases of ingredients and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to carry large cans weighing 3 pounds, 7 ounces
- Ability to carry pizza sauce weighing 30 pounds
- Ability to carry trays of pizza dough weighing approximately 12 pounds per tray
- Ability to push and pull trays which are placed on dollies
- Ability to navigate stairs or climb a ladder
- Forward bending at the waist capability
- Ability to crouch/squat occasionally
- Ability to reach up, down, and forward continuously
- Eye-hand coordination
- Ability to use pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter and pizza peel
- Unsuspended or uninterrupted driving history of at least 1.5 years during the last 2 years
- No more than 1 violation and 1 at-fault accident associated within the last 2 years
- No more than 2 violations and 1 at-fault accident associated within the last 3 years
- No more than 3 violations in the last 3 years
- No more than 1 at-fault accident in the last 3 years
- No distracted driving/inattentive driving violations within the last 3 years
- No serious violations allowed in the past 5 years
- Ability to pass periodic delivery vehicle inspection
