Job Summary
Delivery Driver responsible for operating a vehicle to deliver products to customers, stocking ingredients from the delivery area to storage and walk-in cooler, preparing product, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory and completing related paperwork, cleaning equipment and facility, and delivering products by car to customers’ doors (including distributing flyers and door hangers). Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record, access to an insured vehicle, and complete orientation and on-the-job training. Strong numeric, calculator, and basic math skills for making correct monetary change, plus verbal/written communication abilities to take and process orders, read maps, and navigate designated delivery areas. Ability to work in varied conditions, stand/walk for extended periods, lift and move containers up to specified weights, and operate under standard food-service environments. Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Safe driving record meeting company standards
- Access to insured vehicle which can be used for delivery
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed
- Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area
