Job Summary
Deliver pizzas and beverages to customers within a designated area by car, navigating maps and adverse terrain including multi-story buildings and private homes. Carry pizzas and beverages while walking, climbing five or more flights of stairs, and maneuvering through various weather conditions. Receive and process telephone orders, stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage and walk-in coolers, and complete associated paperwork. Make several deliveries per shift, ensuring safe driving records and access to an insured vehicle are maintained throughout the route.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards
- Access to an insured vehicle which can be used for delivery
- Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator)
- Must be able to make correct monetary change
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen
- Far vision and night vision for driving
