Job Summary
Operate delivery vehicles with a valid license and safe driving record to transport orders across designated areas, navigating multi-story buildings and adverse terrain. Stock ingredients from delivery areas to storage and walk-in coolers, prepare products, and receive telephone orders while processing them verbally or in person. Perform daily cleaning of equipment and facilities, manage inventory, and complete associated paperwork. Handle bulk product deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds using hand trucks, lift cases to shelves up to 72 inches high, and carry trays of dough. Work in varying weather conditions and temperatures ranging from 36 to 90 degrees, making accurate monetary change and entering orders via computer or touch screen.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- valid driver's license
- safe driving record meeting company standards
- access to an insured vehicle which can be used for delivery
- navigational skills to read a map
- ability to locate addresses within designated delivery area
- ability to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings
- ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions
- ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person
- ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly
- ability to make correct monetary change
- verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders
- motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed
