Job Summary
Deliver pizzas and other products by car to customers within a designated area, navigating multi-story buildings and adverse terrain. Receive and process telephone and in-person orders, then stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage and walk-in coolers. Prepare products, take inventory, and complete associated paperwork while maintaining daily cleaning of equipment and facilities. Operate all necessary equipment, including hand trucks for bulk product deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds, and manage tasks in varying weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards
- Access to an insured vehicle which can be used for delivery
- Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly
- Ability to make correct monetary change
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen
- Must navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product
- Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks
- Depth perception
- Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces
- Far vision and night vision for driving
- The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgements and decisions

- Lifting capability for bulk product deliveries using a hand truck
- Lifting capability for cases of ingredients and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds

- Carrying capability for pizza sauce weighing 30 pounds
- Carrying capability for trays of pizza dough weighing approximately 12 pounds per tray
- Carrying capability for pizzas and beverages while performing walking and climbing duties
- Pushing capability to move trays which are placed on dollies
- Pushing capability for a stack of trays on a dolly requiring a force of up to 7.5 pounds
- Pulling capability for trays
- Climbing capability to navigate stairs or climb a ladder
- Climbing capability to navigate five or more flights of stairs during delivery
- Forward bending capability at the waist
- Reaching capability up, down and forward
