Job Summary
Safely operate a box truck carrying less than 20,000 lbs and use GPS to deliver product to customer locations. Move material within the trailer using a pallet jack and ensure loaded freight remains secure and undamaged. Accurately complete all required paperwork, including pre and post-trip vehicle inspections. Work in warehouse environments subject to seasonal weather conditions, getting in and out of the truck repeatedly to inspect freight. Maintain a valid driver's license with required endorsements and follow safety guidelines at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a legal and active driver's license with either a Chauffeur or Class B endorsement
- Candidates subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks
- Safety first approach to driving and moving freight
- Strong communication skills with dispatch and customers
- Dependable attitude and work ethic
- Ability to move material within the truck trailer using a pallet jack
- Ability to get in and out of box truck repeatedly throughout the workday, including as needed to inspect freight when loaded
- Ability to sit, walk, and stand for extended periods of time in a warehouse or vehicle as necessary
- Warehouse environment is subject to seasonal weather conditions and box truck drivers frequently have to unload outside in varying weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Box truck driving experience: 1 year (Preferred)
