Job Summary
Deliver packages to Amazon customers on time while safely driving and performing safety inspections on the company vehicle. Follow local, state, and company policies, providing excellent customer service even during stressful conditions. Load and unload packages, lift items up to 50 lbs, and use GPS navigation and handheld technology for scanning and administrative tasks. Communicate effectively with support teams and supervisors to ensure route completion. Work in all weather conditions, including weekends, with typical 10-hour shifts on a part-time basis of 2–3 days per week.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must hold a non-provisional, unrestricted driver's license
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must successfully pass a 4-Panel Drug Screening (which does not include pre-employment testing for marijuana)
- Must have a satisfactory motor vehicle report (multiple violations can disqualify you from the position)
- Must have good English speaking, reading, writing / communication skills
- Weekend availability is required; schedules may include Saturday and/or Sunday
- 10-hour shifts are typical
- Part-time schedules are typically 2–3 days per week and are based on operational needs
- Keep pace in physically demanding job; work in all weather conditions and on various routes
- lift and lower packages weighing up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis
- tilt, push and slide packages weighing between 50-70 lbs. on and off a hand truck without a helper on a frequent basis
- get in and out of a van repeatedly throughout the day at variable locations
- Provide excellent customer service and satisfaction despite stressful events / conditions
- Communicate effectively with support team to provide exceptional customer service and ensure deliveries are completed
- Use smart phone device for GPS Navigation, scanning packages, conducting administrative requirements such as clocking in/out, and communicate with supervisors and other team members
- Load and unload packages in delivery vehicle
- Support the team in daily work requirements including participation in rescue calls when other team members need assistance with their routes
- Safely drive and perform safety inspections on Company vehicle
- Follow all local & state laws, road/driving regulations, and Company policies
Desired Qualifications
- Commercial, DOT, CDL (or work-related) driving experience is a plus, but not mandatory
