Job Summary
Load and unload merchandise from freight trucks, directing vehicles into unloading areas and setting up displays at customer locations. Record deliveries, obtain customer signatures, and perform general maintenance and groundskeeping for the warehouse and store. Assemble merchandise as required, assist with repossessions, and conduct customer service inspections while maintaining cleanliness and upholding delivery standards. Handle physical tasks involving lifting up to 100 pounds and exposure to adverse environmental conditions. This role supports daily distribution operations and aligns with the company's H.O.M.E. values of helping others and ensuring excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Jr. High School Diploma
- six months experience in distribution or warehouse environment
- shipping/receiving or delivering merchandise
- ability to exert heavy physical effort
- ability to climb and balance
- ability to stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl
- ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull objects of moderately heavy weight up to 100 pounds
- ability to handle heavier objects in excess of 100 pounds
- ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors
- ability to perceive and discriminate sounds
- ability to perceive and discriminate depth
- ability to perceive and discriminate visual cues or signals
- ability to communicate orally
- ability to assemble, process and tabulate data according to a prescribed plan
- ability to provide guidance, assistance, and/or interpretation to others regarding the application of procedures and standards to specific situations
- ability to operate equipment, machinery, tools, and/or materials requiring complex and rapid adjustments
- ability to utilize a wide variety of reference and/or descriptive data and information
- ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- ability to calculate decimals and utilize principles of fractions
- ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form
