Job Summary
Manage the day-to-day running of the deli department with full accountability, ensuring the area remains exceptionally presented and engaging for customers. Lead, coach, and develop your team to meet sales targets, cost control, and rostering requirements while monitoring stock, rotation routines, waste, and quality control. Simplify processes and adhere to strict audit, food safety, and compliance standards to drive a one-team culture that prioritizes health, safety, and wellbeing. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will contribute to a store that delights customers through an outstanding shopping experience. This full-time role supports Coles' purpose of helping Australians eat and live better every day, offering a structured learning pathway and opportunities for team member share ownership.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced customer facing environment
- Direct/indirect leadership experience
- Ability to lead, coach and develop team to meet sales targets, cost control and rostering requirements
- Ability to monitor stock, rotation routines, waste and quality control
- Ability to simplify processes and adhere to strict audit, food safety and compliance standards
