Job Summary
Delicatessen Manager at Coles Ballarat leads the deli department day-to-day, reporting to the Store Manager. You’ll be accountable for presenting a welcoming, engaging store environment, coaching and developing the deli team to meet sales targets, manage costs, rostering, stock control, waste and quality standards, and ensure strict adherence to audit, food safety and compliance requirements. You’ll drive operational excellence and a one-team culture while delivering an outstanding customer experience and maintaining high standards of department performance. The role encompasses leadership responsibilities across team development, store presentation, stock rotation, and compliance within a fast-paced retail deli setting.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced customer facing environment
- Direct/indirect leadership experience with coaching and developing team
- Ability to meet sales targets, manage costs, and rostering requirements
- Maintain department standards including stock monitoring, rotation, waste and quality control
- Adherence to audit, food safety and compliance standards
