Job Summary
Handle food safely and maintain a clean, neat work area. Run department registers, receive payments, make change, and provide courteous, friendly customer service by greeting patrons, learning their names, and assisting with product retrieval. Take customer orders at the counter, review daily orders, and ensure adequate product supply by preparing, finishing, and replenishing items while checking for freshness. Monitor status and appearance of food, remove trash, and follow sanitation and hygiene guidelines. Wash dishes, order supplies, price products, and perform other tasks as needed. Night and weekend shifts required. Starting wage $11.50 to $14.40.
Required Qualifications
- Less than high school or equivalent education
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Must be able to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- Must be able to write identifying information
- Must be able to request supplies orally or in writing
- Must be able to solve arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals and percentages
- Clarity of vision at a distance of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet with or without correction
