Job Summary
Deli Supervisor (Coordinator) supervises the department’s day-to-day operations, including scheduling, staffing, hiring, training, and guiding the team to deliver exceptional customer service. Responsible for ordering, receiving, stocking, displaying products, ensuring food safety compliance, pricing accuracy, and backroom organization. Aims to attain P&L budgeted goals (sales, labor, margin) and monitor stock costs and shrink. Requires Serv Safe Certification, leadership experience in retail, strong communication and conflict-resolution skills, and ability to mentor staff while maintaining high standards of safety and service.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent required
- 2-3 years of related retail experience
- One year of management experience
- Serv Safe Certification
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly to team members
- Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and address root causes
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information
- Demonstrated ability to mentor team members
- Demonstrated commitment to food safety and customer service excellence
