Job Summary
Oversee kitchen operations including cooking, retail merchandising, production planning, and food cost analysis while modeling excellent customer service. Participate in the preparation, ordering, stocking, and inventory of deli products and supplies. Train, mentor, and develop Cooks and Deli Helper Clerks to set standards for service and safety. Ensure department sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards are met while producing prepared foods according to PCC recipes. Collaborate with the deli management team on department planning. Requires a Food Worker Card, cooking techniques knowledge, and ability to lift 10–50lbs regularly. Available for evening and weekend shifts with potential location transfers.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and production cooking in a high-volume kitchen
- Must have general understanding of cooking methods, natural food ingredients, and alternative foods
- Available to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends
- Must be willing to accommodate transferring between PCC locations as needed, depending on the needs of the company
- The ability to demonstrate organizational and planning skills
- Computer knowledge and skills, including Microsoft Office products
- The ability to multitask on an ongoing basis
- Good leadership, teambuilding, and communication skills
- Must be able to meet physical demands including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion, and lifting 10 – 50lbs regularly
- A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health
- Must be at least 18 years of age
