Job Summary
Assist in preparation, stocking, and cleaning of all food display and production stations while gathering ingredients from storage or other departments. Provide exceptional customer service to customers, vendors, co-workers, and the community, ensuring finished products remain tasty, fresh, and attractive. Comply with established procedures regarding operations, sales, safety, and security. May be required to perform other related duties as assigned. This role supports the Prepared Foods Department at City Market Co-Op, a community-owned business dedicated to local food systems.
Required Qualifications
- Six months of cooking or food service experience
- one year of customer service experience
- a demonstrated willingness to learn
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Knowledge of natural and conventional foods and the food industry
