Job Summary
Deli PICs prepare and display ready to eat products according to company and regulatory agency guidelines, order product for optimum sales and minimal shrink and schedule and supervise team members within the deli department. Responsibilities include reworking display cases, determining merchandising plans and order quantities, assessing product quality for markdowns and culling to minimize shrink, stocking and rotating stock, preparing and labeling products, operating ovens, slicers, dishwashers, and other equipment, ensuring sanitation and health-code compliance, providing customer service, assisting with front-end duties, and scheduling labor to meet objectives.
Required Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Food Handling Certification as required by local government.
- Food preparation experience preferred.
