Job Summary
Lead day-to-day department operations in a retail store by ordering and maintaining inventory, validating received orders, and managing team stocking and production tasks. Execute weekly and period Flight Plans, implement work schedules, and oversee labor control, overtime, and payroll expenses. Train associates, handle performance management and career development, and monitor department goals and forecasts. Maintain a clean, stocked department while ensuring strict adherence to food safety and general safety guidelines, taking immediate corrective action when necessary. Communicate via daily huddles and meetings to drive execution against company standards and key performance indicators.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate (Required) or Equivalent (GED)
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
- Ability to work in a varied temperature retail store environment
- Ability to be exposed to outside weather conditions
- Ability to work in a low to moderate noise level environment
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of retail experience preferred
- One-year supervisory experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bookkeeping skills
- Good organization, prioritization, decision-making, problem solving and conflict management skills
- Strong leadership abilities with capability to work in a hands-on environment
- Good strategic planning and business acumen skills
- Good knowledge of retail store operations
- Knowledge of retail management systems
- Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate in Spanish
