Job Summary
Lead day-to-day department operations in a retail store by ordering and maintaining inventory, validating received orders, and managing team staffing for stocking, production, and additional tasks. Ensure product quality, execute weekly Flight Plans, and oversee labor control, overtime, and payroll expenses. Train associates, monitor department goals and forecasts, and participate in daily huddles and company meetings. Maintain a clean, well-stocked department while strictly adhering to food safety and general safety guidelines. Develop and implement plans to meet key performance indicators.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate (Required) or Equivalent (GED)
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
- Ability to work in a varied temperature environment
- Ability to be exposed to outside weather conditions
- Ability to communicate in Spanish (depending on company location)
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of retail experience
- One-year supervisory experience
- Strong written and verbal communication, and bookkeeping skills
- Good organization, prioritization, decision-making, problem solving and conflict management skills
- Strong leadership abilities with capability to work in a hands-on environment
- Good strategic planning and business acumen skills
- Good knowledge of retail store operations
- Knowledge of retail management systems
- Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
