Job Summary
Lead daily department operations in the retail store, ensuring associates are trained, the team is fully staffed, and all company goals and key performance indicators are met. Order and maintain inventory while validating received orders for quality, count, and weight, ensuring product freshness and appropriate storage. Manage a team to complete stocking, production, and additional tasks, overseeing date-sensitive rotation and handling spoiled or damaged products per guidelines. Maintain familiarity with all products, advertised items, and sales rewards programs, while executing weekly Flight Plans and managing labor control, overtime, and payroll expenses. Develop and monitor department goals and forecasts, attend daily huddles and meetings, and enforce food safety and store standards. Implement Our Winning Recipe and core values, ensuring a clean, attractive, and well-stocked environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate (Required) or Equivalent (GED)
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
- Ability to work in a typical retail store environment (varied temperatures)
- Ability to be exposed to outside weather conditions
- Ability to tolerate a noise level in the work environment that is usually low to moderate
- Ability to travel (requirements vary by assignment)
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of retail experience preferred
- One-year supervisory experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication, and bookkeeping skills
- Good organization, prioritization, decision-making, problem solving and conflict management skills
- Strong leadership abilities with capability to work in a hands-on environment
- Good strategic planning and business acumen skills
- Good knowledge of retail store operations
- Knowledge of retail management systems
- Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate in Spanish
