Job Summary
Set department standards for customer service, employee relations, cleanliness, sanitation, and profitability while coordinating the delivery of fresh products at competitive prices. Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate all deli employees, determining weekly schedules and daily work plans. Manage inventory, analyze sales trends, figure retail pricing, and oversee bookkeeping procedures. Ensure proper temperatures, storage, and equipment maintenance to control shrink and guarantee freshness. Handle customer issues, take product orders, and plan displays and promotions. Adhere to strict hygiene guidelines and company policies while maintaining a friendly atmosphere through teamwork and personalized customer interactions.
Required Qualifications
- High school equivalent experience
- Over one year of related work experience
- Must be physically able to exert up to 100 pounds of force (shared team lifting) occasionally
- Must be physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently
- Must be physically able to exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly
- Vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction
