Job Summary
Manage the day-to-day running of the deli department with full accountability, ensuring the area remains exceptionally presented, welcoming, and engaging for customers and the community. Lead, coach, and develop your team to meet sales targets, cost control, and rostering requirements while monitoring stock, rotation routines, waste, and quality control. Simplify processes and adhere to strict audit, food safety, and compliance standards to maintain excellent department standards. Drive a one-team culture that prioritizes team member health, safety, and wellbeing while delighting customers with an outstanding shopping experience. This full-time role reports directly to the Store Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced customer facing environment
- Direct/indirect leadership experience
- Ability to lead, coach and develop team to meet sales targets, cost control and rostering requirements
- Ability to monitor stock, rotation routines, waste and quality control
- Ability to simplify processes and adhere to strict audit, food safety and compliance standards
- Ability to drive a one team culture which celebrates success and puts team members health, safety and wellbeing first
