Job Summary
Lead daily department operations in a retail store, ensuring associates are trained, the team is fully staffed, and all company goals and key performance indicators are met. Order and maintain inventory while validating received orders for quality, count, and condition, then store products appropriately. Manage stocking, production, and date-sensitive rotation, handling spoiled or damaged goods per guidelines. Execute weekly Flight Plans, manage scheduling and labor control, and support the department manager with performance management and career development. Maintain a clean, well-stocked department adhering to food safety, cleaning, and guest experience standards. Attend daily huddles and meetings, implement core values, and may be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer needs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate (Required) or Equivalent (GED)
- Good knowledge of retail store operations
- Knowledge of retail management systems
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
- Ability to work in a typical retail store environment (varied temperatures)
- Ability to be exposed to outside weather conditions
- Ability to tolerate a work environment with low to moderate noise levels
- Ability to travel (requirements vary by assignment)
Desired Qualifications
- 0-2 years of retail experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication, and bookkeeping skills
- Good organization, prioritization, decision-making, problem solving and conflict management skills
- Strong leadership abilities with capability to work in a hands-on environment
- Good strategic planning and business acumen skills

- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate in Spanish
