Job Summary
Provide excellent customer service at the deli counter and perform basic food preparation using PCC recipes. Package deli items, handle counter and barista service during operating hours, and manage dishwashing and cleaning in production areas. Ensure department sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards are met while packaging and retail merchandising products. Become knowledgeable about specialty foods, baked goods, and prepared foods. Available to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends in a fast-paced kitchen environment. A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required.
Required Qualifications
- Proven ability to perform excellent, professional customer service
- Available to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends
- Able to work in a fast pace kitchen environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic math skills for measurement and scale functions
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to meet physical requirements of standing, twisting, bending, repetitive motion and lifting 10-40lbs regularly
- A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health
Desired Qualifications
- Previous food preparation experience preferred
- Knowledge of specialty and prepared foods preferred
