Job Summary
Provide excellent customer service at the deli counter while performing basic food preparation, packaging, and retail merchandising. Handle counter and barista service during operating hours, and complete dishwashing and cleaning in the deli and production areas. Ensure department sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards are met, and become knowledgeable about deli products, specialty foods, baked goods, and prepared foods. Available to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends in a fast-paced kitchen environment. A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required. Starting wage is $17.63-$17.83/hour with an additional $1.50/hour night differential when applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Proven ability to perform excellent, professional customer service
- Available to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends
- Able to work in a fast pace kitchen environment
- Previous food preparation experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic math skills for measurement and scale functions
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to meet physical requirements of standing, twisting, bending, repetitive motion and lifting 10-40lbs regularly
- A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required
