Job Summary
Deli Assistant Manager manages department inventory, pricing, merchandising, and labor and safety rules. They order products and supplies and schedule work to maximize sales and gross profit. They ensure new department employees receive proper training and safety instruction on all equipment in the Deli-Bakery, supervise to ensure correct ordering, receiving, unloading, storage and rotation of merchandise, and assist in building displays. Managers are responsible for additional store duties and ensuring sanitation, food safety and personal hygiene standards are met.
