Job Summary
Prepare a variety of deli items including sandwiches, salads, and sides following established recipes and standards; maintain a clean, organized workstation with strict sanitation and food safety protocols; cook meats, seafood, and vegetables using frying, grilling, roasting, and sauteing techniques; operate and maintain kitchen equipment (grills, ovens, slicers) ensuring proper functionality and cleanliness; provide exceptional customer service and address special requests; assist with prep tasks (vegetables, sauces, portions); collaborate with team to maintain a fast-paced operation; monitor inventory and report shortages to the deli manager; adhere to opening/closing duties and overall food safety throughout handling.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation methods
- Possession of a valid Food Handler's Card
- General knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent communication skills
