Job Summary
Greet customers promptly and courteously while performing cashier responsibilities including accepting payments and issuing receipts. Display and organize products in store aisles and refrigeration units, then maintain the store's appearance through cleaning and restocking merchandise throughout all areas. Prepare fresh food items for customer orders by assembling meats, cheeses, vegetables, condiments, and breads as instructed. Assist with ordering merchandise, tracking inventory, and promoting displays while monitoring customers for loss prevention. Follow all safety policies, training, and personal protective equipment procedures to maintain a strong safety culture.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of Retail and/or Retail Merchandising and Customer Service
- Must meet minimum age requirement of 21 years old
- Knowledge of basic food safety requirements
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English to customers and coworkers
- Basic math and computer skills to operate store equipment such as, but not limited to, cash register, time and record keeping computer systems
- Current or ability to obtain food handlers card
- Must successfully pass criminal background check
- Ability to sit, stand, squat, bend and lift up to 55 lbs repeatedly
