Job Summary
Maintain fast, accurate service and ensure food quality while complying with health, safety, and security procedures. Assist with production flow, physical inventory, and receiving vendor deliveries. Stand or walk up to eight hours per day, lifting up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead. Operate cash registers, fuel consoles, and kitchen equipment including grills and coffee makers. Work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends to meet business needs. Serve nearly 3,000 customers across Wine Energy's heating oil, retail, and HVAC divisions in Northern Virginia.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, which may require evening and weekend shifts
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Problem solving skills and abilities
- Proficient with a telephone, cash register, fuel console, money order machine, microwave, grill, nacho machine, coffee grinder, etc.
- Ability to be the ABC manager on duty
- Ability to perform the essential duties and to work under the conditions described
- Ability to work up to eight hours per day standing and/or walking
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead for up to 30 minutes per day
- Ability to be exposed to occasional cold temperature extremes while performing occasional work in a walk-in cooler and/or freezer
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in kitchen/catering food production and retail food service
