Job Summary
Prepare, package, and label deli products while maintaining strict portion control and rotation procedures to monitor freshness. Efficiently unload shipments, stock designated areas, and ensure coolers and freezers are clean and ready for deliveries. Operate, clean, and maintain all equipment safely while answering customer questions and resolving complaints professionally. Adhere to health regulations, sanitation guidelines, and safety procedures, obtaining a food handling permit within the first two weeks. Work Monday through Sunday shifts in a Blue Springs, MO location, meeting productivity standards to support team results.
Required Qualifications
- A food handling permit
- Completion of ongoing training and development as listed on the Cosentino's Learning Plan
- Able to reach overhead with both arms up to a maximum of 74 inches
- Able to twist at the waist
- Able to lift objects with both hands weighing up to 5 lbs
- Able to push and pull grocery items to the proper locations as needed, up to a peak force of 10 lbs
- Able to stand and walk for long periods of time on tile, asphalt, concrete or other hard surfaces
- Able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs
- Able to bend and squat, at times all the way to floor level
- Able to work in colder conditions of the grocery coolers and freezers
- Demonstrates the strong verbal and interpersonal skills necessary for positive customer and peer interactions
- Demonstrates the basic math and reading skills required for the position
