Job Summary
Prepare fresh and easy meals, fill and rotate products, and operate slicers, ovens, and cutting tools following company standards. Provide high-level customer service by answering phones, taking special orders, and ensuring Deli items are properly packaged and presented. Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary area by cleaning shelves, floors, and equipment, while receiving, inspecting, and logging products for shipment accuracy. Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, lifting up to 70 lbs and standing continuously for four hours per shift.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field
- Have an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Be dependable and reliable
- Have an outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- Have the ability to interact with customers
- Have the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes as the business changes, including nights, weekends and holidays
- Have good communication skills
- Have the ability to take direction
- Have the ability to participate in a team environment
- Be able to answer phones
- Be able to take special orders
- Be able to lift/carry product horizontally/vertically weighing up to 70 lbs., from 4" to 60", for a distance up to 20 feet without mechanical assistance for up to 4 hours
- Be able to stand for up to 4 hour continuously, for a total of 8 hours per shift
- Achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit
- Be able to work in different temperature environments (cooler and freezer)
