Job Summary
Deli Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market responsible for assisting customers in selecting healthy options and preparing “fresh and easy meals,” maintaining a high level of customer service, and ensuring deli items are properly prepared, packaged, and displayed. Duties include filling and rotating products, preparing special orders and party trays, operating slicers and deli equipment, keeping the area clean and sanitary, inspecting shipments for quality and temperature, and supporting a fast-paced team environment while complying with safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent or related experience
- Experience in grocery/restaurant or related field (or combination of education and experience)
- Outgoing, friendly behavior with customers
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Able to answer phones and take special orders
- Able to lift up to 70 lbs. and stand for up to 8 hours per shift
- Operate deli equipment safely
- Adhere to safety and health regulations and obtain Food Handlers permit
