Job Summary
As a Deli Clerk, your main responsibilities include slicing, cutting, weighing, and pricing deli merchandise while maintaining a courteous demeanor. You will prepare customer orders to satisfaction and ensure freshness by rotating products and removing out-of-code merchandise. Other essential tasks include unloading stock, maintaining shelves, and promoting weekly specials. Communication with management regarding temperature issues in storage areas is also required. A regular cleaning and sanitation program in compliance with health regulations is to be maintained, along with assisting in the preparation of hot foods.
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication skills for dealing with customers
- Basic math skills for weighing and pricing products
- Dexterity in hands for slicing and preparing deli products
- Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds up to twenty percent (20%) of the time
