Job Summary
Delicious deli-focused role requiring preparation of hot and cold deli items to company standards, friendly customer service, and accurate order fulfillment. Responsibilities include slicing, weighing, packaging, labeling, and preparing deli foods under supervision; maintaining cleanliness and safety of equipment; stocking and rotating products; assisting customers in person and over the phone; promoting product sales through suggestive selling; and upholding quality control and food-safety procedures. Must be 18+ years old for various duties and hold Food Handler certification; ability to operate slicers and other department tools; willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; strong teamwork and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 16 years of age required
- Food Handler certification required
- Ability to learn new systems and methods
- Ability to read and operate digital equipment and scales
- Ability to work with equipment such as slicer
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
- Strong customer-service orientation
