Job Summary
Lead day-to-day department operations in a retail store by ordering and maintaining inventory, reviewing received orders for quality and quantity, and managing team stocking, production, and date-sensitive rotation. Communicate and execute weekly Flight Plans, manage labor control and payroll expenses, and oversee staffing, training, and performance management for associates. Maintain a clean, well-stocked department while ensuring strict adherence to food safety and general safety guidelines. Develop and monitor department goals and forecasts to meet company key performance indicators, and participate in daily huddles and company meetings. Requires high school graduation, two years of retail experience, and proficiency in retail management systems.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate (Required) or Equivalent (GED)
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
- Ability to work in a typical retail store environment (varied temperatures)
- Ability to be exposed to outside weather conditions
- Ability to tolerate a noise level in the work environment that is usually low to moderate
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of retail experience preferred
- One-year supervisory experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication, and bookkeeping skills
- Good organization, prioritization, decision-making, problem solving and conflict management skills
- Strong leadership abilities with capability to work in a hands-on environment
- Good strategic planning and business acumen skills
- Good knowledge of retail store operations
- Knowledge of retail management systems
- Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate in Spanish
