Job Summary
Lead day-to-day department operations in a retail store by ordering and maintaining inventory, validating received orders, and managing a team for stocking, production, and quality control. Execute weekly and period Flight Plans, implement work schedules, and oversee labor control, overtime, and payroll expenses. Handle spoiled or damaged products per guidelines while ensuring all food safety and general safety requirements are followed. Train associates, manage performance, and develop department goals and forecasts to meet company key performance indicators. Participate in daily huddles and meetings to communicate expectations. Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked department using Prime Time standards. Requires high school graduate or GED, two years of retail experience preferred, and proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate (Required) or Equivalent (GED)
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Required to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
- Subject to a typical retail store environment (varied temperatures)
- Exposure to outside weather conditions
- Noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of retail experience preferred
- One-year supervisory experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication, and bookkeeping skills
- Good organization, prioritization, decision-making, problem solving and conflict management skills
- Strong leadership abilities with capability to work in a hands-on environment
- Good strategic planning and business acumen skills
- Good knowledge of retail store operations
- Knowledge of retail management systems
- Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate in Spanish is highly desirable
