Deli/Bakery Associate

Job Summary
Prepare and produce bakery/deli products per production planner packages and label items according to program plans. Merchandise products per flight plan/merchandising expectations and stock backroom with rotating and dating cases/buckets. Notify the bakery/deli manager if products and supplies need to be ordered. Work as a team with other departments and stores to achieve growth in SpartanNash retail stores. Communicate tasks, recipes, weights, and measures to other associates while following all PPE, safety, food safety, and guest experience guidelines. High school diploma (GED) preferred with one year of retail experience; basic math skills and detail orientation required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma (GED) preferred
- One year of retail or related experience preferred
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents
- Basic mathematical skills
- Detail Oriented
- May be required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- The associate is required to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- The associate may bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
- Employee is subject to a typical retail store environment (varied temperatures)
- Employee is exposed to outside weather conditions
- Travel requirements vary by assignment
