Job Summary
Prepare and serve food items such as hot meals, sandwiches, salads, and soups while maintaining a clean, organized work area. Greet, assist, and thank customers promptly; offer product suggestions and stock department products to ensure freshness and date control. Operate equipment safely, comply with food safety regulations, and reinforce safety programs by identifying unsafe conditions. Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and performing other duties as assigned including stocking and cleaning. Notify management of theft, shoplifting, unauthorized mark-downs, or policy violations. Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma, able to lift 50 pounds, and proficient in English. Prior deli or food service experience preferred. Flexible hours including evenings and weekends required.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Customer service experience
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work flexible hours to include evenings and weekends
