Job Summary
Deli Bakery Associate handles deli meats and cheeses, prepares sandwiches and party trays, stocks displays, and assists with bakery tasks in a fast-paced military commissary environment. Responsibilities include stocking displays, helping with shipments, ensuring proper sanitation and food handling, and delivering friendly customer service. The role may involve cake decorating, baking, rotisserie chicken prep, and other deli/bakery tasks as needed. Requires 18+ years old, willingness to cross-train in bakery/deli tasks, basic math, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for shifts, and occasional weekend work. Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Willing to cross-train in bakery and deli tasks as needed
- Effective and friendly communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math and the ability to follow written guidelines
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
- Ability to stand and walk short distances for an entire shift
- Tolerates working in freezers for up to 20 minutes at a time
- Team player
- Grocery, food service or retail experience a plus
- Some weekend shifts are required
