Job Summary
Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer service while slicing deli meats and cheeses, preparing custom party trays, and making sandwiches. Stock and organize displays, assist with shipments, and ensure proper sanitation of the department, equipment, and food handling procedures. Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle stressful situations, and cross-train in bakery and deli tasks as needed. Other duties may include cake decorating, baking, or rotisserie chicken preparation. Some weekend shifts are required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Willing to cross-train in bakery and deli tasks as needed
- Effective and friendly communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math and the ability to follow written guidelines
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
- Ability to stand and walk short distances for an entire shift
- Tolerates working in freezers for up to 20 minutes at a time
- Team player
- Some weekend shifts are required
