Job Summary
Deli Bakery Associate at MDBS (Military Deli & Bakery Services) at one of 103 US Military Commissary locations. Responsibilities include slicing deli meats and cheeses to customer requests, preparing custom party trays and sandwiches, stocking and organizing displays, ensuring proper sanitation and food handling, and working in a fast-paced environment with teamwork and positive communication. Additional duties may include cake decorating, baking, rotisserie chicken preparation, or other deli/bakery tasks. Required: must be 18+, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand/walk for shift, tolerate freezer work, willingness to cross-train in bakery/deli. Beneficial attributes include basic math, following written guidelines, effective communication, and grocery/food service or retail experience. Some weekend shifts are required. Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Willing to cross-train in bakery and deli tasks as needed
- Effective and friendly communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math and the ability to follow written guidelines
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
- Ability to stand and walk short distances for an entire shift
- Tolerates working in freezers for up to 20 minutes at a time
- Team player
- Grocery, food service or retail experience a plus
- Some weekend shifts are required
