Job Summary
Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer service while slicing deli meats and cheeses, preparing custom party trays, and making sandwiches. Stock and organize displays, assist with shipments, and ensure proper sanitation of the department and equipment. Perform other deli and bakery tasks as needed, including cake decorating, baking, and rotisserie chicken preparation. Work in a fast-paced environment, handling stressful situations and tolerating time in freezers. This part-time role offers up to 29 hours a week from 8am to 4:30pm. Serve Military personnel and families at one of 103 US Military Commissary locations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Willing to cross-train in bakery and deli tasks as needed
- Effective and friendly communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math and the ability to follow written guidelines
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
- Ability to stand and walk short distances for an entire shift
- Tolerates working in freezers for up to 20 minutes at a time
- Team player
- Some weekend shifts are required
