Job Summary
Slice deli meats and cheeses, prepare custom party trays and sandwiches, and stock displays while maintaining proper sanitation and food handling standards. Assist team members as needed and handle tasks such as cake decorating, baking, or rotisserie chicken preparation. Work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating the ability to manage stressful situations and cross-train in bakery and deli duties. This part-time closing shift role offers up to 29 hours weekly at one of 103 US Military Commissary locations, serving military personnel and their families.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Willing to cross-train in bakery and deli tasks as needed
- Effective and friendly communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math and the ability to follow written guidelines
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
- Ability to stand and walk short distances for an entire shift
- Tolerates working in freezers for up to 20 minutes at a time
- Team player
- Some weekend shifts are required
