Job Summary
Direct and manage 5-10 employees while maintaining high customer service levels and maximizing profits at one of 103 US Military Commissary locations. Oversee food safety and sanitation policies, track weekly inventory reports, and order raw materials to calculate monthly profit. Assist with scheduling, training, and delegating work assignments while monitoring employee morale and customer satisfaction to address improvement areas. Maintain accurate department records and perform staff duties as required in this hands-on position. Requires 2+ years in grocery or food service, mandatory shift lead experience, and a valid Food Safety Management Certification. Open availability for weekends and closing shifts is mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years grocery or 2+ years food service experience
- Previous shift lead/management experience mandatory
- Ability to stand and walk short distances for an entire shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
- Open availability, must be able to work some weekends and closing shifts
- Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have a valid Food Safety Management Certification or be able to obtain one within 30 days from the hire date
