Job Summary
Direct and manage 5-10 employees while maintaining high customer service levels and meeting commissary requirements. Oversee food safety and sanitation policies, track weekly inventory reports, and order raw materials to maximize profits. Assist in scheduling, training staff, and delegating work assignments, while preparing records to calculate monthly profit according to company policy. Maintain accurate department documentation, monitor employee morale, and address customer satisfaction issues to improve processes. Perform hands-on duties as required. This role supports Military personnel and families at one of 103 US Military Commissary locations.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years grocery or 2+ years food service experience
- Previous shift lead/management experience
- Ability to stand and walk short distances for an entire shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
- Open availability, must be able to work some weekends and closing shifts
- Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have a valid Food Safety Management Certification or be able to obtain one within 30 days from the hire date
