Job Summary
Prepare and produce deli products per production plans, package and label items, and merchandise stock according to flight plans. Stock backroom cases and buckets with rotating dates, notify the Deli Manager of supply needs, and communicate tasks, recipes, and cleaning steps to associates. Adhere to all PPE, food safety, and guest experience guidelines while performing basic math functions. May be assigned additional tasks in other departments based on customer experience needs. This role supports growth in SpartanNash retail stores, with a preference for one year of retail experience and a high school diploma.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents
- Basic mathematical skills
- Detail Oriented
- May be required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- The associate is required to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- The associate may bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
- Employee is subject to a typical retail store environment (varied temperatures)
- Employee is exposed to outside weather conditions
- Noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate
- Travel requirements vary by assignment
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma (GED) preferred
- One year of retail or related experience preferred
