Job Summary
Weigh, package, price, and label deli items while slicing meats, cheeses, and preparing salad bar items, sandwiches, and wraps according to the daily schedule. Serve customers by greeting, engaging, and answering questions, then fulfill orders via phone or in person. Maintain the back cooler, rotate stock, and clean deli equipment including slicers, ovens, and fryers. Assist with stocking, facing the deli wall, and mentoring new associates while adhering to sanitation and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age due to required operation of Deli equipment
- Eagerness to interact with customers
- Strong sense of team – ability to anticipate the needs of the team
- Ability to work at a fast paced and efficient manner
- Ability to take initiative and make decisions independently regarding department needs and priorities, under general supervision
- Excellent time management, prioritization and organization skills
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, push/pull for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
