Job Summary
Deli Associate provides customer service at the deli counter, slices and prepares deli and hot-line items, maintains clean and stocked display, operates slicers and kitchen equipment, follows food safety and allergen guidelines, handles cash/POS transactions, and supports hot line and cafe during peak periods. Requires High School diploma or equivalent and ability to obtain Food Handler Certification; favorable attention to sanitation, portion control, presentation, and ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Food Handler Certification or ability to acquire one
- Deli experience preferred but not required
- Basic knowledge of computers and POS system
- Basic understanding of food preparation, portion control, and food safety
- Detail oriented with sanitation, organization, and presentation
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
